RemoteScan ShareCamera™ is a software solution that makes it easy to use digital cameras and other digital imaging devices in Terminal Services or Citrix environments. RemoteScan ShareCamera™ is currently the only solution for bridging any application running on a Server, and connecting those applications to webcams that are plugged into to end user PC's or Thin Clients.

ShareCamera is used for capturing still images from a wide range of digital imaging devices including webcams, digital cameras, digital microscopes, radiology and pathology equipment and biometrics devices, and letting those images be incorporated into hosted software applications that are running on Windows or Citrix servers at remote locations.

ShareCamera works with all devices which have TWAIN, WIA or Microsoft Imaging drivers. ShareCamera makes it easy to use the following types of applications within Terminal Services or Citrix environments:

One component of the RemoteScan software is installed on the server (Windows Terminal Services or Citrix), and another component of the RemoteScan software is then installed on each end user PC which has a Webcam or digital camera attached.

Purchasing and licensing.
A purchased license of RemoteScan TS/CX is required for each PC or Thin Client which accesses images from a digital camera (even if that camera is attached to a different computer (see diagram).

There is no cost for the RemoteScan software that is installed on the Terminal Services or Citrix Servers.
