RemoteScan® Setup and Installation

Note: If you have been provided with a password, click here. You will then be prompted to enter your customer username and password, and then click on the download link to download RemoteScan Server. When prompted, select "Save File," The file, RemoteScan.exe, can safely be saved in any directory on your computer.

Terminal Server / Citrix version of RemoteScan

RemoteScan Enterprise™ for Terminal Server / Citrix comes with two components. The 1st component is installed onto each workstation which has a scanner attached, or which needs to access a scanner that is attached to another PC. The 2nd component is installed onto the Terminal or Citrix Server(s) where the hosted applications are installed and running. RemoteScan for TS/CX is provided with both components in a single downloaded file. Here are the instructions for installing each of the these components:

• RemoteScan Enterprise component that is installed onto Client PCs or Thin Clients.
• RemoteScan Enterprise component that is installed onto the Terminal or Citrix Server(s).

• RemoteScan rslogon.bat Configuration Instructions for Terminal Services/Citrix.
  Rslogon.bat logon script can be used to help manage many users that may need access to remote scanning.
• Instructions for Setting Up a Scannerless Workstation in Terminal Services/Citrix.
  It is possible to setup a workstation that has no scanner attached to it to scan from another scanner in the same network, directly into a TS/CX hosted application.
• Instructions for Selecting and Using Multiple Scanners.
  While using RemoteScan™ you have the ability to select from multiple scanners attached to your workstation.

LAN version of RemoteScan

• LAN RemoteScan™ Server Software Configuration Instructions.
  Server software must be installed and configured on the computer which your scanner is connected.
• LAN RemoteScan™ Client Software Configuration Instructions.
  Client software must be installed on each computer that will share the remote scanner.
